FM Radios

As the liberalization took place in Indian during last decade, every sector experienced the wave of privatization. Broadcasting sector is also not an exception to this trend. With the changing scenarios, needs and expectations of the audience is also changing fast. Until 1993, private broadcasting was not heard of in India, only All India Radio was the sole operator in this field. Then, in 1993, Government of India permitted private operators to buy airtime on the All India radio’s FM channels and transmit their programs. There are FM operators in the cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and others. They sell their advertising time for those airtime blocks to the advertisers.

While installing a radio in your car, FM radio is the choice. FM stands for Frequency modulation. The frequency of carrier signal gets altered in operating FM radio. In contrast to AM radio, FM radio can operate smoothly even with background noises as they do not modify the radio wave frequency. With FM radio, there is no problem with minor changes in the amplitude.

The Satellite Radio Service Experience

Satellite radio services have been in the news for quite a while, and the two main providers in the United States have gained millions of subscribers.
